WEDDINGS ON A BUDGET
BUDGET: A question of priorities:
If you are keeping a frugal eye on costs while planning your wedding you will find yourselves making a few well-considered tradeoffs in selecting the traditional necessities such as venue, number of guests, food, entertainment and of course, photography. While the day you have always dreamed about passes from the dream world to reality, what matters most is not the luxury of the setting or the hand made culinary delights of an internationally acclaimed chef, but to the precious memories that are engendered and preserved.
Increasingly this means finding a skillful wedding photojournalist who can capture the touching and profound moments of any wedding and highlight them in a timeless fashion that even your grandchildren would appreciate, (all on a budget of course). All this duly captured regardless of where the event is held, or how much money is spent on frills and trappings. These are crucial considerations for anyone planning a wedding on a budget.
Priorities are different for everyone. Some brides dream their whole life about a wedding dress, so that becomes a high priority, for others it’s photography, because that’s what lasts. You will look beautiful in your dream wedding dress for one day but your dress will look beautiful in the photographs everyday. They are your own personal memories.
Award winning photographers agree. “Many of the costly accouterments of the day food, flowers, decorations, etc will be gone once the day has passed. Of course you will want to enjoy the experience and have a great and memorable party for everyone, but the photos are going to be there forever.”
Lasting beauty doesn't require opulence:
There’s no question that a spectacular setting and great food can add to the special quality of the wedding day. Still, you can avoid some expenses and enhance the lasting memories by focusing on the theme and elegance of the day, rather than on opulence.
